A heat pump is an air conditioning system that can also provide you with heating, using much less energy to relocate the heat than it would create it. A heat pump removes heat from the cold air outdoors and relocates it within your home/building.
It has a valve that reverses 4 ways, creating a way for the unit to switch from a heating mode to cooling. When it is warm outside, it reverses directions and extracts the heat from the home/building.
Our regular maintenance services include washing the condensers of outdoor units, cleaning of indoor coils, component inspections, and filter replacement every 3 months. We also offer the replacement of old thermostats with a programmable or smart technology thermostat, which makes it easy to control the temperature of your home and helps you save money and energy. When your unit is properly maintained it will last you 10-15 years on average. Space heating and cooling account for almost half of a home’s energy use, while water heating accounts for 18%, making these some of the largest energy expenses in any home.
