HVAC Technician Installer

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and professional HVAC Technician that leads by example in the field. This role is critical in ensuring top-tier installations, repairs, and maintenance, while mentoring apprentices and supporting company standards across every job site. You take pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintain a high level of organization and professionalism, and communicate clearly and respectfully with both team members and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Excellence & Compliance

  • Perform accurate and code-compliant installations, repairs, and planned maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure all parts provided for the job are properly installed.
  • Upload clear and complete before-and-after pictures and videos of each job.
  • Take updated pictures in ServiceTitan at the beginning of each job to show job site conditions.

Leadership & Training

  • Provide apprenticeship training and hands-on mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices.
  • Lead by example through professional behavior, clear communication, and quality workmanship.

Site & Vehicle Management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site at all times.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
  • Take responsibility for managing and organizing job-related supplies.
  • Leave behind lawn signs, company magnets, stickers, manual holders and pens as part of our brand marketing strategy.
  • Take videos and pictures to support our marketing initiatives.

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a 5-star customer experience through respectful, kind, and professional communication.
  • Communicate clearly with customers to explain work performed and answer questions.
  • Leave their home cleaner and better than you found it. At the beginning of each job have a conversation about what is going to happen and ask them about things like bathroom access, parking etc.

Administration & Communication

  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of all job-related administrative tasks, including job notes, photos, forms, and invoices in ServiceTitan.
  • Maintain clear, prompt communication with Dispatch regarding job progress, delays, or additional needs.
  • Follow directions from the Owners and VP consistently and thoroughly.

Professionalism & Team Culture

  • Wear a clean, professional uniform daily.
  • Practice and promote kind, respectful communication with customers and team members.
  • Uphold company values and standards as a field leader and brand ambassador.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC installation, service, or maintenance experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proficient in using ServiceTitan or similar field service software
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and best practices
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to train others

Brand Ambassador

The HVAC Door-to-Door Brand Ambassador plays a vital role in driving the company’s growth by connecting homeowners with our heating and cooling experts. This position focuses on engaging directly with potential customers in residential neighbourhoods to create awareness about our HVAC products and services, identify needs, and generate qualified leads for our comfort specialists.

This is a front-line marketing role that requires strong communication skills, confidence, and a positive attitude. The Lead Generator serves as the face of the company, making a lasting first impression through professional, friendly, and knowledgeable interactions. By sparking conversations and setting appointments for in-home evaluations, this position directly supports the sales team and contributes to the company’s success.

The ideal candidate thrives in an outdoor, people-focused environment, enjoys working independently, and is motivated by goals, incentives, and teamwork. No prior HVAC experience is required—training is provided—but a willingness to learn about home comfort systems and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement:
    Knock on residential doors within assigned territories to introduce the company’s HVAC services and current promotions.
  • Lead Qualification:
    Identify potential customers, gather basic household information (age of system, comfort issues, etc.), and record accurate details in lead tracking tools.
  • Appointment Setting:
    Schedule appointments for our comfort advisors or sales representatives to follow up for in-home estimates.
  • Brand Representation:
    Maintain a positive and professional image of the company by using approved scripts, wearing branded attire, and providing courteous service at all times.
  • Territory Management:
    Plan and execute door-to-door routes efficiently, ensuring consistent coverage of assigned neighborhoods.
  • Reporting:
    Submit daily or weekly reports including total contacts, qualified leads, appointments set, and feedback from homeowners.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with marketing and sales teams to improve lead quality and provide insights on homeowner trends or objections.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    Follow company policies, local solicitation laws, and safety guidelines while working in the field.

Performance Metrics

  • Number of leads generated per week
  • Appointment conversion rate
  • Quality of leads (verified follow-ups)
  • Customer satisfaction feedback

Compensation Details $60,000 - $100,000+ range Earning Potential **commission only**

There is no cap on earnings — the more qualified leads you generate, the more you can earn. Top performers can make thousands per month in commissions based on lead quality and conversion rates.

Payment Terms

  • Commissions are paid bi-weekly
  • Leads and installs are tracked through the company CRM or marketing system.
  • All payouts are subject to management verification.
